How do I add my Health and Fitness to the SportsBase directory?
There are two ways to add a Health and Fitness listing to the directory:
- On the listings page for Health and Fitness click on the ‘Add Health and Fitness’ link in the summary box just above the start of the listings.
- You can also add your listing by registering via the home page or menu bar, by clicking the ‘sign up for registration’ or ‘login’ link.
What is the process to add my Health and Fitness to the SportsBase directory?
- Once you have entered the registration area, choose Health and Fitness Client Account as the registration type.
- Enter your personal contact details, and choose a username and password. Once registration of personal details has been confirmed you will be asked to fill in listing details including name, address, post code, contact phone number, email and website link where available.
My classes are at more than one Venue how do I add additional Venues to my listing, and be listed as an individual instructor?
- Many health and fitness professionals have classes at more than one venue. SportsBase acknowledge this and allow for multiple listings to be controlled from one account. Simply login and click on the ‘my venue’ link. You will be asked to enter the venue details including name, address, postcode, contact phone number.
- To add another venue for your listing simply click on the ‘add new venue’ link and complete the process again.
I have changed venues, or no longer run classes at an existing venue, how do I change this?
- SportsBase understand venues change over time. To change or delete a venue, simply login and click on the ‘my venue’ link. You will then be able to delete or change a venue as required.
How do I choose the Health and Fitness category(s) for my listing?
- SportsBase understands that your service may fit into more than one health and fitness category. To add a or multiple health and fitness categories for your service simply login and click on the ‘my details’ link. You will be provided with one primary choice of Health and Fitness category. If your services fit into more than one category, simply type these categories in the text box below the primary choice.
- If the categories available are deemed not sufficient for the service you provide simply choose ‘other’ as the primary category and type a new category into the text box below. SportsBase administrators will approve all new or additional categories.
How do I create my Own Page for my Health and Fitness listing?
- SportsBase allows Health and Personal Trainers and venues to create their own mini website and customise each page by choosing from several templates ranging from solid text to a mix of text and images.
- To create your own page, simply login and click on the ‘My Page’ link. You will then have the option to choose the page name to appear in your own menu bar. Next, choose a template that suits your need for that page. This will be a mix between images and text.
- When you have chosen a template simply add pictures, and text in the designated areas on the template. Once a page has been completed, just repeat the process to add other pages such as promotional offers, qualification details and service offering. Even upload a picture about yourself and post your CV to the site.
- With this page you will have your own web page and therefore will be able to inform others to find you directly on the SportsBase website by typing in your username after the site address i.e. www.sportsbase.co.uk/joebloggs.
- Please note to create your own page requires upgrading to our Premium listing service. This can be found in the login area.
What is the quick reference link?
- The quick reference link is available to all Health and Fitness listings. It is a simple way to refer clients to your site on SportsBase. Clients can reach you directly without the need to search by typing in your username after the site address i.e. www.sportsbase.co.uk/joebloggs.
How do I create a newsletter for my Health and Fitness service?
- Only Health and Fitness services with Premium membership have the option available to create their own newsletter. This can be easily set up in the login area and sent out automatically at the health and fitness service choice to the registered members of Sportsmate who have signed up.
- To create a newsletter simply login to the account area of the site. Then click on the ‘Newsletter’ link, choose a template, and then add the relevant text and images. Finally click send and it will be sent to all members who subscribe
- A list of subscribers is available to view in the newsletter section.
How do people subscribe to my Newsletter?
- Users subscribe to a newsletter by clicking on the newsletter link on the health and fitness services own page. If the page does not contain this link, simply activate the newsletter by clicking on the ‘Newsletter’ link in the login area.
- A list of subscribers is available for the club to view in the newsletter section in the login area.
Can I add people to my Newsletter?
- To stop potential email abuse or spam, a club cannot add people to their newsletter. Only a registered user to the site can add themselves to a clubs newsletter.
- Newsletters are a great way for clubs to reach potential, new and existing members. In order to gain the most benefit for your existing members we suggest you recommend them to sign up through existing club communication channels. Registration takes just a few minutes, and they may well already be a registered user of the site.
What do I get when I pay for Premium service?
- For a Premium listing SportsBase charges a small monthly subscription for its services. Premium extra’s include:
- Creating your own mini website to inform members about your qualifications, prices, and treatments. Your own page that can be fully customised by content, and design, with the ability to upload images as well as text.
- A coloured listing, standing you out from the crowd on the listings page
- Newsletters to create and send to your members
- Feedback and ratings. Adding testimonials to your site makes you stand out from the crowd and gives higher levels of credibility to your service.
How much does it cost to add my Health and Fitness service?
- SportsBase has made it FREE for a basic listing. This includes adding your health and fitness service name, contact details, email, and web site link. You are also able to add your listing to as many categories as you feel is adequate for your needs. SportsBase also provides all listings with a quick reference link which you can provide to clients so they can reach you directly without the need to search by typing in your username after the site address i.e. www.sportsbase.co.uk/joebloggs.
